Glen Gala Subdivision

The 110 lot residential subdivision also included a school site, a 90 place child care centre, a medical centre, and a future community facility site.

The development consists mainly of single occupancy houses purchased by first home buyers creating a vibrant new community to complement the long established nearby residential area of West Sunshine.

"It is my privilege to extend a heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Millennium Properties Pty Ltd, Brimbank City Council, and the community groups for a job well done!"

Millennium designed and built the townhouse and apartment complex in the style of a London, low rise, terrace development, a style of housing not previously seen in the Sunshine area.

Each of the 74 architecturally designed 2 and 3 bedroom units was based on one of 14 cutting edge designs which provided generous living spaces, balcony or courtyard open space, ample room for both indoor and outdoor entertaining, direct street access and garage parking.

One of the other significant features of the development is that its design incorporated the noise attenuation wall situated along the boundary of the Western Ring Road as the rear wall of the buildings. This design removed the unsightly appearance that such walls have created in many other similar situations. At the same time, the professional acoustic design and construction materials ensured that there was no noise impact on residents from the adjacent freeway.

The close proximity of the Glen Gala Neighbourhood Shopping Centre, several schools, the CBD, Melbourne Airport and numerous other community facilities have given rise to medium density housing in a style not seen before in Sunshine.

"Your company transformed this land to satisfy the community's request by rezoning the land from industrial to residential. We now have one of the best small estates in our city with a shopping centre, variety of shops and a large medical centre."
